Creative Minds Counselling & Support Services acknowledges the Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, work, and gather. We pay our deepest respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We honour their enduring connection to Country, culture, and community nurtured over thousands of generations. Sovereignty was never ceded.
A safe, creative, and neurodivergent-affirming space for children, teens, and adults. No masking. No pressure. Just connection, creativity, and community.
Creative Minds was created to offer something different - a space where neurodivergent children, teens, and adults can feel genuinely safe, understood, and accepted without any pressure to mask who they are.
Founded by Sammi, an ACA registered counsellor with professional and lived experience of neurodivergence, trauma, disability support, and mental health.
Every room is thoughtfully designed to be sensory-friendly, low-pressure, and full of warmth - where neurodivergent individuals can truly relax and be themselves.
All groups are neurodivergent-affirming, interest-led, and relationship-focused. Flexible, low-pressure, and supportive of every communication style.
Flexible, strengths-based supports tailored to each individual - never expecting people to fit a mould.
Support should feel safe, engaging, authentic and empowering - always.
Emotional safety and regulation always come before expectation. Trust is the foundation of everything.
We celebrate what participants can do and use their interests as powerful tools for connection and growth.
Neurodivergence is not something to fix. We celebrate authentic identities and all ways of being.
Sessions are built around what participants love - anime, gaming, D&D, cosplay, art and more.
Genuine connection and community belonging matter more than any checklist or outcome measure.
LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed and welcoming of all communication styles and engagement types.
